The program that generates this is Year 2000 (Y2K) compliant. That way I can still see shows in the year 2000 and beyond without worrying. Whew.
Shout outs to Marc Augustiniak for fixing an unknown! Your name could be in digital lights too! It's simple. Just help out with an unknown.
Upcoming shows I'm looking forward to: the Liz Phair show at Stubb's, Dub Narcotic Sound System at 33 Degrees (If this is anything like the Beat Happening show, it'll be a keeper), and Elliott Smith. I've been listening to his new record non-stop the last week. It is that good. Funny thing is, his show I saw doesn't stick out in my head too much. We'll see. #
More shows added, of course. Now I'm adding reviews of the shows. The first is the Liz Phair show. I've also post-reviewed some of the more recent shows.
A shout out to Eric "Analog" Ziegler for some missing bands at shows I had seen. Once when he was over at my house, I showed him the site.
I'm still listening to Elliott Smith lots. Man, it makes me wish I had broken up with somebody recently or actually had a decent relationship so that I could relate better. Now I just think I know what the hell he's talking about.
Belle And Sebastian is also good. It's retro, all nineties style. Lush & purty.
Also, it's cooled off here in TX. I actually miss the heat! What the hell!? It's 85 & beautiful, and I'm wishing it was 95. Oh well. #
I have a new favorite, really bad, night-time soap opera. It's called Hyperion Bay (8pm CST Mondays on The WB). It's about a software company. It's so funny.
I saw Elliott Smith on Saturday Night Live last week. Yeah, it was that kind of rainy, lousy weekend here in Austin, TX. He had a completely different & larger band than when he played here.
I'm going to New York City this weekend. It ought to be fun. #
I turned 28 yesterday.
New York City was a blast last weekend. I'm officially in the NYC fan club, much to my surprise. I like urban as much as the next guy, but I never understood the NYC mystique. I still don't, but who cares; I had a great time.
I've decided that this stuff looks boring. Now that its been working for awhile, I'll try to gussy it up.
I will try my very best to no longer use 'alright' to describe a show. #
